Found in penninsular Malaysia, Thailand, Borneo and the Philippines in lowlands as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a short stem enveloped completely by imbricate leaf bearing sheaths and carrying a few, terete, often purplish leaves that blooms at any time of the year on an axillary, from near the base of the stem, purplish, slender, to 4" [10 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with all the flowers held in the apical .8" [2 cm] and held in a loose corymb
