Found in Queensland and New South Wales in open and heathy forests, heath and moss gardens over granite and sandstone at elevations of 10 to 900 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping, free part .8 to 1.2" long, shorter than the flowers leaf that blooms in the early summer through fall on an erect, .4 to 2.4" [1 to 6 cm] long, 5 to 30 flowered inflorescence
