Found in Tasmania Australia in low heathlands around boulders on rock plates and in heathy forests at elevations of 5 to 50 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with a slender, short stem carrying a single, ending well below the flowers, short free part leaf taht blooms in the summer through mid fall on an erect, .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] long, 3 to 12 flowered inflorescence
