Found in New South Wales Australia in open forests and moss gardens among shrubs and grass at elevations of 200 to 400 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, short, stem clasping, free part .6 to 1.2" long leaf ending below the flowers that blooms in late spring through summer on an erect, .4 to 1.2" [1 to 3 cm] long, 1 to 8 flowered inflorescence
