Found in New South Wales in open sites on forested slopes and ridges among shrubs at elevations of 400 to 600 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, short, stem clasping, free part .6 to 1" long, shorter than the flowers leaf that blooms in the later summer through mid fall on an erect, 1.2 to 2.4" [3 to 6 cm] long, 12 to 32 flowered inflorescence.
