Found in New South Wales Australia in openforest, heath forest and heathlands over rock plates at elevations of 5 to 750 meters as a miniature to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping, free part .6 to 1.4" long leaf ending below the flowers that blooms in the mid summer and earlier fall on an erect, .6 to 2" [1.5 to 5 cm] long, 5 to 35 flowered inflorescence
