Found in Cape Province, Lesotho and Natal South Africa in grasslands in full sun at elevations of 1950 to 2400 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with lanceolate leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, to 16.8" [42 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence and carries fragrant flowers
