Found in New Guinea in mossy clearings at elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a patent, ovate, cordate, acuminate leaf that blooms in the winter on an erect, subsessile, single flowered inflorescence with a lanceolate, acuminate bract.

Schlechter states that the flowers are whitish with a broad red band on the lip that runs parellel to the margin.
