Found in penninsular Malaysia in lower montane rainforests on steep well drained moss-covered banks at elevations of 1400 to 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing terrestrial with a single, heart shaped, scarcely acuminate, shiny mid green, nerves very faint, slightly paler green leaf that blooms on an erect, very short, single flowered inflorescence holding the flower just over the base of the leaf.
The Eyeball like structure at the base of the lip is diagnostic for the species.
