Common Name The Impressive Corybas
Flower Size .4" [1 cm]
Found on east Java in montane grasslands, never in forests at elevations of 1280 to 1700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing terrestrial with a single, grey-green with broad silvery veining above and dark shiny crimson beneath leaf that is held close to the ground and blooms in the summer on an erect, short, single flowered inflorescence.
This is a fire dependent species and it benefits from an occasional grass fire to help keep permanent the grasslands that support it and rid dead plant material that may smother the Corybas.
Synonyms *Corysanthes imperatoria J.J.Sm. 1914
