Found in New Zealand, Chatham Island and Antipodean Island in damp places within lowland to montane forests along streams or on ridges as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with a round, mucronate apically leaf that blooms in the spring through early summer on an erect, single flowered inflorescence carrying the flower below or above the leaf.
