Common Name Boy's Coryanthes

Flower Size 2" [5 cm]

Found in southern Venezuela and northern Brazil in wet forests at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with narrowly ovoid, deeply grooved pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, erect, plicate, sulcate, carinate, lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the attenuate, petiolate base leaves that blooms on an erect, terete, dark, 10.4" [26 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with 3 fairly conspicuous, tubular, close fitting bracts and carrying a very fragrant flower.
