Found in Yunlin Taiwan s on mossy slopes in close proximity to bamboo plantations at elevations around 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing terrrestrial orchid with white, ovoid, minutely scaly-pilose tuberoids giving rise to an erect, downward tapering, pilose rhizome giving rise to an erect stem provided with a basal, subterranean bract carrying a pale green not showy above, whitish green and showy beneath, glabrous, central vein beneath slightly keeled, and whitish, entire, cuspidate apically, cordate below into the base leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, peduncle purplish red, .8 to 1.8" [2 to 4.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
