Found in northern Sumatra in dense montane forests at elevations around 1550 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing terrestrial with a globose tuber giving rise to a single, sessile, cordate, acute, abruptly narrowed to a very short mucro, dark green with very few lighter conspicuous veins, margins undulating to flat leaf that blooms in the winter on an erect, single flowered inflorescence
