Found on Macquarie Island in wet grassy areas or seepage sites at elevations of 200 to 300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, light green above, silvery green beneath, moderately thick textured leaf that blooms in the later spring on an erect, short, single flowered inflorescence
