Common Name The Large Helmet Coryanthes

Flower Size 3" x 4" [7.5 x 10 cm]

Found in Peru with ribbed, conical pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, plicate, narrowly elliptical leaves that blooms in the summer in the northern hemisphere on a basal, lateral and then pendant, to 12" [to 30 cm] 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb and often after leaf-fall and carrying scented flowers.
