Found in the Gulf of Guinea Islands, Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea in riverine or old growth, lowland forests at elevations of 0 to 100 meters as a small sized, hot growing terrestrial with a horizontal to vertical rhizome giving rise to an erect, rarely branching, one to several on a rhizome stems carrying all along the stem, spirally arranged, ovate-elliptic, acute, plicate, prominently 3 nerved leaves that blooms in the winter and early spring on 1 to several, simple to branching basally, .08 to 2.4" [2 to 6 cm] long, terminal, horizontal to slightly pendent, rather densely many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceoalte, acute, as long as the ocvary floral bracts and carrying eredt to suberect, rather small, pale greenish witha white lip and a pale brown gynostemium
