Found in Roirama State of Brazil at elevations around 1700 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with clustered, elongate-ovoid, apicvally compressed, deeply many sulcate pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, lanceolate, plicate, narrowing below into the pseudopetiolate base leaves that blooms in the mid spring through mid summer on a basal, pendent, stout, 10" [25 cm] long, 2 flowered inflorescence enveloped partially by a lanceolate, acuminate bract and carrying fragrant flowers.
