Common Name The Three-Leafed Coryanthes

Flower Size 3" [7.5cm]

Found in northern Peru around 100 to 1000 meters in elevation as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with narrowly pyriform-cylindric, ribbed pseudobulbs carrying 3, apical, plicate, narrowly elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate leaves gradually narrowing below into the long slender, channeled petiole that blooms in the summer on a lightly arcuate then pendant, to 13" [33 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb and carrying 6 small, tubular, mostly remote sheaths and carrying heavily scented flowers.
