Found in New Guinea at elevations around 900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing terrestrial with a broadly ovate to suborbicular, deeply cordate, glabrous, acuminate, dark velvet green with bright pink veining leaf that blooms in the late spring on an erect, subsessile, single flowered inflorescence with a lanceolate-subulate floral bract.

Schlechter states that the flowers are white marked with dark red inside and pink tubercles on the lip.
