Found in Colombia and Venezuela at elevations of 2300 to 2900 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with 1 to 3, in a basal rosette, narrow, canaliculate, elliptic to ovate-elliptic, acuminate, cuneate below intothe petiolate base leaves taht blooms in the later fall on a to 12.8" [32 cm] long, overall, rachis to 6" [15 cm] long, saubdensely many flowered inflorescence with lanceoalte acuminate floral bracts and carrying small, brown, lip white with brown venation flowers.
