Common Name or Meaning Fendler's Cranichis

Flower Size .32" [8 mm]

Found in northern Venezuela at elevations around 950 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with 2 to 4, basal, erect-patent, elliptic to narrowly ovate, acute to shortly acuminate, cuneate and attenuate below into the canaliculate, petiolate base leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, peduncel terete, thin, glabrous below, glandular-pubescent above, 3 to 5, amplexicaul, acuminate sheaths, 6 to 10" [6 to 25 cm] long, rachis .8 to 6" [2 to 15 cm] long, subdensely many flowered inflorescence with erect-patent, ovate-lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts and carrying white, pilose flowers.
