Common Name or Meaning The Large Lashed Cranichis
Flower Size .4" [1 cm]
Found in Guayas, Carchi and Pichincha provinces of Ecuador on the eastern coast at elevations up to 800 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with 1 to 2, basal, ovate-elliptic, acute, more or less rounded below into the short petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an erect, terminal, peduncle to 8" [20 cm] long, remotely 3 sheathed, rachis to 2" [5 cm] long, dense, many flowered inflorescence with triangular, acuminate floral bracts and carrying whote flowers.
Distinguished by the non-foliaceous peduncle, the green leaves, the cilate margined petals, the glabrous ovary, the cymbiform lip with an upcurved apex, and the disc with 3 parellel, unbranched veins.
