Common Name Werff's Cranichis [Dutch botanist At Missouri Botanical Garden and Original Collector of species current]

Flower Size

Found in Cotopaxi and El Oro provinces of Ecuador and in the Galapagos Islands at elevations around 500 to 1860 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with 3 to 4, basal, elliptic to ovate elliptic, acute to abruptly subacuminate, basally rounded and tapering into the canaliculate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later fall on a terminal, erect, 16" [40 cm] long overall, peduncle provided with remote sheathing bracts, glabrous below, glandular pubescent above, rachis cylindric, subdensely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts and carrying greenish white flowers.
