Found in Ecuador and in the Galapagos Islands at elevations around 500 to 1860 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with 3 to 4, basal, elliptic to ovate ellioptic, acute to abruptly subacuminate, basally rounded and tapering into thecanaliculate, petiolate base leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, remptely shethed, glabrous below, glandular pubescent above, rachis cylindric, subdensely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts and carrying greenish white flowers. .
