Common Name The Acutest Crossoglossa [refers to the apex of the lip]

Found in Santander department of Colombia in montane forests at elevations around 2550 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a prostrate, elongate rhizome giving rise to an erect, terete stem carrying sublaxly, 8, oblong-lanceoalte, acute, 5 to 7 veined, wavy margined leaves that blooms in the later spring on an erect, peduncle 4 to 4.8" [10 to12 cm] long, rachis 12 to 16" [30 to 40 cm] long, laxly to sublaxly many flowered inflorescence with narrowly lanceolate, acuminate, margins undulate, shorter to longer than the ovaey floral bracts and carrying light green flowers. Close to C frontinoensis witha similar acuminate-caudate lip but with an ovate-lanceolate vs elliptic-obovate basal half."
