Found in Nicaragua, alajuela, CartagoPuntarenasCosta Rica and Chiriqui province of Panama in mid-montane forests at elevations of 1400 to 1500 meters as a medium to large sized, cool growing terrestrial or epiphyte with an erect stem carrying 8 to 18, oblanceolate to obovate, acute, petiolate base leaf the blooms in the at most any time of the year, but most often in the later summer on an erect, peduncle, 3.52" [8.8 to 13 cm] long, rachis to 24" [0 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with with lanceolate, acuminate, longer to as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying pale to fresh green colored flowers.
