Flower Size

Found in Caqueta and Putumayo departments of Colombia amongst ferns in montane forests at elevations around 1700 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect, terete to tetragonous stem carrying laxly, 5 to 13, oblanceolate to oblong lanceolate, acuminate, long petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter and late spring on an erect, peduncle 5.2 to 7.68" [13 to 19.7 cm] long, evaginate, rachis to 8.88 to 20.6" [22.2 to 51.5 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acute, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying flowers with green sepals, the petals with an orange tint towards the base and an orange-green lip.
