Found in Bocas del Toro province of Panama in montane forests at elevations around 1300 to 1400 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with a short stem carrying 11 to 12, oblanceolate subacute to obtuse, subpetiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, peduncle 3.12" [7.8 cm] long, with 2, sheathing bracts, rachis to 16.9" [42.4 cm] long, sublaxy to densely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute, shorter to longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying transluscent green flowers.
Previously compared with Crossoglossa dressleri and C olivierae but this taxon is closer to C blephariglottis but this taxon has longer, leafier stems, a longer inflorescence, 20" [50 cm] long vs 2.6 to 10.68" [6.5 to 26.7 cm] long, and a relatively narrower lip. Szlach & Kolan 2023
