Found in Antioquia and Santander departments of Colombia at elevations of 1200 to 2400 meters as a cool to cold growing epiphyte with clustered, ovoid-conic, pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 2, distichous, linear-elliptic, acute to obtuse leaves and elongate, monopodial, cane-like, branching, erect to climbing leafy stems that blooms on axillary, peduncle successively single flowered, sveral arise from the ssame axillary point, and carrying resupinate flowers
