Common Name The Stately Cryptopus

Flower Size 2.5" [6.25 cm]

Found in the Mauritius and Reunion on tree trunks, bushes and rocks at elevations of sea leavel to 800 meters as a medium sized, hotwarm growing epiphyte or lithophyte with sinuous stems carrying towards the apex, widely spaced, oblong to elliptic, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring on an axillary, erect, simple or with 1 to 2 lower branches, 12 to 24" [30 to 60 cm] long, 7 to 13 flowered inflorescence with 3 to 4, pedunculate bracts and small floral bracts and white flowers that turn apricot with age.
