Found in Java at elevations of 250 to 1600 meters as a medium sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial and differs from C arachnites by having an "erect lip that does not curve forward and is more distinctly spotted" and larger flowers on much longer, 24" [60 cm] long, inflorescence with at least 40 flowers when it is fully extended and blooms in the spring.
