Found in Taiwan and the Philippines in broad-leaved forests at elevations of 100 to 500 meters as a small sized, hot growing terrestrial with an ascending or creeping rhizome giving rise to 1 to 3, pale green abaxially, green with dark blotches adaxially, ovate to ovate-oblong, obtuse to rounded basally, acute apically, abruptly narrowing below into the elongate, dark green to brownish spotted, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring through later summer on a green, with dark green to purplish brown spotted, glabrous, to 10" [25 cm] long, 5 to 15 flowered inflorescence with green, brownish spotted, ovate-lanceolate, 5 veined, acute to acuminate apically, longer than the ovary floral bracts
