Found as a small sized, cool to cold growing, terrestrial species in Western Australia at elevations of 50 to 420 meters in inland shrublands, woodlands, she-oak groves and on granite outcrops in well drained soils with a basal, prostrate, hairy, relatively broad leaf that blooms in the spring on a wiry, hairy, 4.8 to 10" [12 to 25 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence
