Common Name Ashby's Cyanicula - In Australia - The Powder Blue China Orchid

Flower Size 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm]

Found in southwestern Australia in shallow sandy soils on granite rock outcrops as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a single, hairy on raised bumps, prostrate, basal, reddish purple beneath leaf that is often withered at blooming occuring in the spring on an erect, 2 to 6" [5 to 15 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence.
