Common Name The Ixia-Like Cyanicula [Part of the Iridaeceae] - Yellow China Orchid

Flower Size 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm]

Found as a miniature sized, cold growing, terrestrial species in Western Australia at elevations of 100 to 300 meters in Jarrah forests and among shrubs in Wandoo forests and is the only yellow Cyanicula with a prostrate, reddish purple with hairs on bumps beneath, green above leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, 2 to 6" [5 to 15 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence.
