Found in Distrito Federal and Parana' state of Brazil in wet swamps with standing water as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped by several, elongate, tubular, acuminate sheaths and carrying 3, stem clasping, plicate, linear, conduplicate, acute, acuminate leaves that blooms in the summer in nature on an erect, terminal, 16 to 24" [40 to 60 cm] long, laxly successively few to several [2 to 8], successively single flowered inflorescence.
