Found in southern southwestern Australia in open shrublands, heath and she-oak stands on granite outcrops in sandy soils at elevations of 50 to 250 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a single, hairy on raised bumps, basal, prostrate, purplish beneath leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, 2 to 4" [5 to 10 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence
