Found in Costa Rica and Panama at elevations around 500 to 600 meters as a medium to large sized, warm growing epiphyte with elongate, cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying several basally clasping, plicate leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on a pendent, several flowered inflorescence with fragrant ripe fruit scented flowers.
