Found in northeastern Brazil as a small sized, warm growing terrestrial with an ovate, obtuse, abruptly narrowing below into the thin, elongate, petiolate base leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, thin, several flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute bracts and longer than the ovary floral bracts
