Common Name The Densely Flowered Cycnoches

Flower Size 1.8" [4.5 cm]

Found in Colombia on the Central cordillera at elevations of 800 to 900 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with more or less cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying 4, elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate, plicate, many nerved leaves that blooms in the fall on a pendent, to 13.2" [33 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence

The lead photo has male flowers at the top and hermaphroditic flowers below.

The drawing is of the male flower, female flowers are similar to C chlorochilon male flowers but with a much shorter column
