Common Name The Elegant Cyclopogon [refers to the leaves]
Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]
Found in southern Brazil and northern Argentina at eelvations around 1200 meterse as a small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial orchid with a few basal, ovate, acute to acuminate, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a terminal, erect, thin, 12" [30 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with 2, well spaced, lanceolate acute bracts and shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
