Found in Peru in wet montane forests at elevations around 900 meters as a small to medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with oblong-cylindric, widely oval in cross-section pseudobulbs enveloped by imbricate, leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying 5 to 13, membraneous, elliptic, plicate leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on 3 to 5, lateral, racemose to singly branched, pendulous, several flowered inflorecence.
