Found in southeastern & southern Brazil at elevations of 900 to 1100 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial orchid with several, narrowly lanceolate, acute, light green striped dark green, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, erect, 16" [40 cm] long, brown, many flowered inflorescence with green, tubular, acute, bracts and with longer than the ovary floral bracts.
