Common Name The Hirsute Cyclopogon

Flower Size .2" [5 mm]

Found in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica at elevations around 1800 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing terrestrial with basal, in a rosette, dark green silvery striped, acute, gradually narrowing below into a short petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, terminal, 6.8" [17 cm] long, apically villose, laxly to 10 flowered inflorescence enveloped by 4 to 5, small towards the apex, clear purple, acuminate sheaths.
