Found in the Districto Federal of Venezuela without locational data as a small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a single, basal, erect, elliptic, acute, narrowly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the the winter on an erect, terminal, peduncle 6.4" [16 cm] long, slender, glandular in the upper quarter, provided with 2, herbaceous, acute, lanceolate, sheathing bracts, rachis 4.8" [12 cm] long, loosely many flowered inflorescence with linear-lanceolate, acute, herbaceous, sparsely glandular along the margins and at the base, almost twice as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying small, tubular flowers.
