Found in Pichincha and Zamora-Chinchipe Ecuador as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with a basal rosette, light green on both sides, obliquely narrowly elliptic, acute, cuneate below into the slender, canaliculate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, erect, enveloped by 3 to 4 appressed, acuminate, decreasing in size upwards, secund, densely many flowered inflorescence with ovate, twice as long as the ovary floral bracts.

Distinguished its epiphytic habit, by the flared apex of the lip with a transversely reniform apical lobe and the peduncle shorter than the rachis carrying secund flowers
