Found in Parana state of Brazil as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with 5, in a basal rosette, ovate acute, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, peduncle 11.2" [28 cm] long, provided with acute, herbaceous, thin, hyaline margined, shorter than the internodes sheathing bracts, rachis 5" [12.5 cm] long, upper half glandular denser above, lax, to 15 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute, single nerved, herbaceous, transparent, densely glandular outside longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying small, indistinctly saccate base, sessile flowers.
