Common Name The Almost Alpine Cyclopogon
Flower Size .24" [6mm]
Found in Rio Grande do Sul Brazil and Corrientes state of Argentina as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with 5 to 6, basal, erect-patent, glabrous, ellipitc-oblong, subacute to apiculate, cuneate to rounded lanceolate below into the elongate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, erect, slender, peduncle 7.2" [18 cm] long, provided with about 4, acuminate, loosely obsessively terete, glabrous below, minutely papillose-puberulous at the apex sheathing bracts, rachis to 4.8" [12 cm] long, sublax, subsecund, several flowered inflorescence with narrowly lanceolate, acute, longer than the ovary floral bracts.
According to Schlechter it is similar to Cyclopogon congestus in its inflorescence and its flower especially in shape of the central lobe of the lip but the leaves are completely different
