Common Name Pringle's Cyclopogon [American botanist around 1870 to 1900]

Found in Vera Cruz and Jalisco states of Mexico in moist plains at elevations around 1600 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing terrestrial without leaves at blooming, that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, terminal, peduncle 4 to 8" [10 to 20 cm] long, puberulent, provided with 5 to 6 scattered, acute to acuminate sheathing bracts, rachis 1 to 2" [2.5 to 5 cm] long, loosely few flowered inflorescence with narrowly lanceolate, as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying white flowers
