Found in Rio de Janiero state of Brazil without locality as a just small to medium sized terrestrial with basal, lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, acute, petiolate base leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, peduncle 8.4 to 15.2" [21 to 38 cm] long, provided with 5 to 6, more or less as long as the internodes, acute with hyaline margins sheathing bracts, rachis 3.2 to 3.6" [8 to 9 cm] long, relatively lax to dense, subsecund 15 to 25 flowered inflorescence with broadly lanceolate, acute, thin, much longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying rther small, tubular, subsessile, densely glandular flowers
